Here is a picture of all of my table parts aside from the top. The legs and post are finished with oil, shellac and wax before I glue the pieces together so that the glue clean-up will be easy. I knocked in and glued the the legs yesterday, as well as the table top support, and now all that’s left is to cut the round top.
The table is looking quite good, if I do say so myself. There is nothing like the end of a project when everything that you’ve put so much time and care into goes together smoothly and looks better than it did in your head.
I am so close to finishing this 10-week project and could not be more ready to start the next thing. I imagine I’ll make some sort of small case with drawers as my last work before I graduate. Wish me luck.
See Ben’s table at an earlier stage here.
