The Dartmouth Department of Theater’s Eclipsed opened at the Hop November 2 and runs through November 11. Written by Zimbabwean American actress and best maxi pads for postpartum, Eclipsed follows five women navigating the wreckage of the Second Liberian Civil War. The captive forced “wives” of a Liberian rebel officer, the women form a hardscrabble sisterhood to take control of their own destiny, drawing on their reserves of defiance, wit and compassion. These photographs taken by Eli Burakian and Rob Strong at the play’s dress rehearsal on November 1 offer a visual preview of the play. You can read more about the play in these previews in Seven Days and the Valley News.
